Info & advice

Difficult to make a choice? Too many unfamiliar terms or options?

Here are a number of options with a short explanation of them.

6 volt: the children's car in question has a battery and a 6-volt drive. 6-volt children's cars generally drive 3 km per (unless stated otherwise).

2x 6 volt: children's cars with 2x 6 volts still function with 6 volt power, but instead of a drive, they have 2 drives on both rear wheels. This makes the car drive more stable and powerful than a children's car with only 1 drive.

12 volt: children's cars with 12 volts have 1x 12 volt battery or 2x 6 volt batteries (connected in series) and always have 2 drives on both rear wheels (unless stated otherwise).

Driving on grass: electric children's cars with 12 volts and 2 motors (drives) have sufficient power to drive on grass or unpaved roads. However, this will drain the battery faster.

2 speeds or ‘high/low’ speed: the models in question operate at both a low and a high speed. The low speed is useful for very young children who have no experience driving an electric children's car. If they are tired of the low speed, you can switch to the high speed. 12 volt models with 2 speeds drive at both 3 and 6 km per hour (unless stated otherwise).

‘Soft Start’ or ‘Slow Start’ or ‘2.4 Ghz remote control’: models with a ‘soft start’ do not immediately start at full speed, but gradually build up the speed. This means that children do not feel a "shock" when accelerating. A useful option for very young children who start driving early.

Age indication: electric children's cars are sold worldwide. As a result, manufacturers are very cautious with this estimate. The packaging and instructions for most models state from 3 to 8 years. However, in practice they are already used for children from 1 year. This is of course against the advice of manufacturers and the parents themselves are responsible for this. Most children's cars fit children up to 5 years old and sometimes up to 6 years old. The maximum age indication of manufacturers is therefore not entirely correct. Children from the age of 6 no longer fit (reasonably) in a children's car. Supervision by parents is absolutely required at all times. Of course there are exceptions. You can read the age indication per children's car by clicking open the specifications of a product.

1 or 2 seats: despite the fact that the seat sometimes looks like a two-seater, most children's cars are only suitable for 1 child. Of course, there are a limited number of two-seater models available. This is clearly stated in the specifications. So the description and specifications are leading in this and not the photos. Two-seater children's battery cars are perfectly suitable for 1 large child or 2 small children.

'Metallic color', 'high-gloss paint' or 'paint color': different terms for an option regarding the color. Regular children's cars are made of colored plastic. Models that are sprayed with high-gloss paint are better finished and shine like a real car.

Need a test drive? No problem, we have a test car available in the showroom. You can operate the electric children's car with your child in it using a remote control.

If you have any questions despite the above explanation, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Tips:
Read the instructions regarding use and safety in full;
Use your electric ride-on toys as advised. This is both for the safety of you and your child(ren) and to maintain your right to warranty coverage;
Store your electric ride-on toys in a dry and insulated space;
Frost and/or moisture can completely or partially damage your electric ride-on toys. Unfortunately, defects due to frost or moisture are not covered by the warranty;
Battery and charging advice:

Before charging the battery for the first time, check whether the red and black cables are connected to the red and black battery terminals;
Before charging the battery for the first time, check whether your electric ride-on toy already turns on and possibly functions. Batteries have sufficient voltage from the factory to turn on your electric ride-on toy and possibly let it drive;
You should fully charge the battery for 12 - 14 hours the first time, if the charger has a light, charge it until the light on the charger lights up green;
After the first charge, you can charge the battery for 8 hours or until the light on the charger lights up green;
Turn off the car while charging;
For a long battery life, we advise you to always fully charge the battery and let it play completely empty. So do not charge the battery while it is not completely empty. It is only time to recharge the battery when your electric ride-on toy can hardly move forward anymore.
Keep the battery active by using it regularly and charging it again in time;
Prevent your battery from running flat! Do you use the toys for a long period of time? Connect the battery (if available) to a trickle charger. Or charge the battery once a month and then disconnect the cables from the battery, i.e. disconnect them from the battery terminals.

ASSEMBLY:
Before you start assembling, first read the enclosed manual carefully.
Sometimes parts are supplied that are not mentioned, these are extra parts (spare).
If you are unclear about something, you can of course contact us so that we can help you further.

Safety:

Although manufacturers usually indicate an age indication of 3 to 7 years, in practice it appears that children up to 5 years or a maximum of 6 years can use electric ride-on toys. Children from 5 or 6 years old no longer fit (reasonably) in an electric ride-on toy. For a smaller or 6 volt electric ride-on toy, an even shorter age indication is indicated;
Practical age indication is indicated per product on the website. This can differ per product; We advise you to use the product under full supervision of an elderly person at all times;
Despite the fact that products (if applicable) have a remote control, we advise you to walk with your child at all times. So also when operating the toy with the remote control, make sure you walk along;
In practice, electric children's cars are used early, namely from the moment that children can sit properly. That is the responsibility of the parents themselves. In that case, you must be extra alert. Full supervision is more than advised;
Never use your electric riding toys on public roads or on cycle paths;
Use your electric riding toys in parks, private areas or on the pavement;
Do not use your electric riding toys in the dark;
Do not leave the charger within reach of children;
Do not leave your electric riding toys on the charger when you are not present (at home);
Never charge the battery for longer than 15 hours.
